Inter Milan have lost two of their last three Serie A matches and go into round No. 6 in eighth place. The Nerazzurri fell 3-2 in the Milan Derby a week ago to AC Milan. Now, Simone Inzaghi needs the team to win at San Siro versus sixth-place Torino.

Torino have surprised a few onlookers this season. I Toro didn’t have the biggest spend in the offseason transfer market, but thus far, Ivan Juric has made the most of the players available.

Juric wasn’t happy with the club’s transfer incomings during the offseason. Yet, the coach has got the most out of a squad that lost two key players over the summer (Andrea Belotti and Bremer).

Torino have taken 10 points from 15 points available. Juric is hopeful that the team can push on from last season to land a European place at the end of this season.

Il Toro do not have a good record against Inter in the teams’ last six head-to-head matches. The Nerazzurri have posted a record of 5W-1D-0L throughout the teams’ last six matches in all competitions.

In 2021-22, Inter Milan posted a 1-0 win at San Siro before the two sides drew 1-1 at the Stadion Olimpico in Turin. Inter outscored Torino 14-5 in the teams’ last six matches. The last six matches finished with 26 yellow cards.

Inzaghi will be without striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker has a hamstring injury that will keep him sidelined until later this month.

Juric could be without up to four players for the match on Saturday. Goalkeeper Erit Berisha has physical discomfort that could keep him out of action.

Midfielder Samuele Ricci has a calf injury and will be sidelined until later this month. Defender Stephane Singo is a doubt with a knee injury. Midfielder Alexey Miranchuk has a hamstring injury and may miss the match.

Inter fell 2-0 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek at San Siro. Inzaghi’s Inter continue to have issues in the Champions League and the midweek defeat won’t do anything to help confidence. Inter have now lost two straight games in all competitions and three of their last four matches.

The Nerazzurri need a win against Torino to get back into the Serie A title race. Torino have a poor record versus Inter and it should get even worse. The Nerazzurri should post a 2-1 win on Saturday at San Siro.
