Inter Allies goalkeeper Danso Wiredu banned by Ghana FA for involvement in match-fixing is a member of the Ghana Armed Forces [Pure FM] —

Popular Ghanaian sports analyst Kwabena Afriyie Obeng, OB Trice, has revealed that Inter Allies’ goalkeeper Danso Wiredu Mensah who has been banned by the Ghana FA for his involvement in the scandalous match-fixing incident involving AshantiGold and Inter Allies is a member of the Ghana Armed Forces.

A Ghana FA investigations found the goalkeeper complicit in the match-fixing scandal after he failed to appear before the investigation panel and have slapped the 28-year-old with a 24-month ban in accordance with Article 34.5(d)(i) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations.

Danso, a former Ebusua Dwarfs glovesman, has joined the Ghana Armed Forces according to comments made by Kwabena Obeng Afriyie, popularly known as OB Trice.

Journalist Mohammed Shaban has also shared a photo of the goalkeeper in a Ghana Army uniform.

It is yet to emerge whether the player has appealed against the decision.
