Inaki excited after brother Nico Williams extends stay in Bilbao

Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams is chuffed after his brother Nico Williams signed a new long-term deal with Athletic Bilbao, keeping him at the club until 2035.

Nico had reportedly been close to joining Barcelona, but instead chose to stay with the Basque club. Inaki took to social media to express his delight, posting “he stays” and “Athletic wins.”

The Williams brothers have been instrumental in Athletic Bilbao’s success, helping the team win their first major trophy in 40 years.

Nico’s decision to stay with the club means Inaki can continue to share the pitch with his brother for a while longer.

Inaki is expected to return to the Black Stars team in September for World Cup qualifiers after missing the Unity Cup tournament.

The brothers’ commitment to Athletic Bilbao reflects their strong bond with the club and the city of Bilbao, where they were born.
