I’m proud to bring joy to war-torn Sudan – Kwesi Appiah

Coach Kwesi Appiah is on cloud nine to have qualified Sudan for the 2025 African Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco .

Despite the country’s civil war, which forced the team to play all their qualifiers away from home, Appiah’s tactical expertise and leadership inspired the team to overcome immense challenges

Sudan finished second in the group behind Angola to secure qualifications to the continental showpiece.

“I’m actually pleased that, for some time now, the Sudanese people have felt joy in their lives after qualifying for the AFCON after so many years. I’m very proud to be part of this success story,” Appiah told CAF.

The team will know their opponents in the coming days ahead of the competition slated later in this year.
