Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey expressed his delight at returning to the field after contributing to Arsenal’s 5-0 victory over Chelsea on Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium.
Following months on the sidelines due to injury, Partey made a comeback, playing 70 minutes in central midfield against the Blues.
It was his 10th appearance in the Premier League for the Gunners this season.
“I’m happy to be back in the team and also to get a win in the derby. It’s a really important game, so I’m very happy.
“It was a very good game, we went all out from the beginning because we knew how important this game was.
“Everything depends on us. We have to continue winning our games, we have a few more games left and we have to win them all,” Partey told the media.
Partey is expected to start for Arsenal on Sunday in the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
