Ghana Black Stars and Real Oviedo midfielder, Kwasi Sibo, has expressed his gratitude after making his international debut in Ghana’s 1-0 victory over Mali in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The 27-year-old, who earned a late call-up, walked straight into the starting XI as Alexander Djiku’s strike sealed all three points for the Black Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Sharing his emotions on Instagram, Sibo described the moment as one of the most special in his career.
“An unforgettable day. All glory belongs to Yahweh. There are no words to describe what I have experienced these past few days. Thank you to each and every one of you who has brought me here,” he wrote.
He continued: “I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful adventure. I am proud and grateful for the welcome I have received from my teammates and my country. It is the best gift possible ; debut, victory, and one step closer to the World Cup.”
