I have not retired from coaching – Bashir Hayford

Experienced Ghanaian trainer, Bashir Hayford, says he has not retired from coaching and is ready to work with any club that comes forward with a good offer.

Hayford has been away from the touchline for the past year, after his stint with Legon Cities during the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.

Speaking on Fox FM, Hayford that he will return to the dugout when an appealing offer arises.

“I have not retired from coaching. I have been resting for the past one year and I will take up a new job job that suits me,” Hayford told Fox FM.

“As for retirement I will only retire when I feel that I do not have the same energy and passion to continue doing the work. Some of the clubs who got contact me do say that they they have heard that I have retired which is not true. So I am there and with the right job you will see me coaching a team again.”

Bashir guided AshGold Football club to a Ghana Premier League title triumph in 2015.
