Ghanaian midfielder Agyemang Badu is anticipating a “tough” Ghana Premier League season due to the poor nature of pitches.
The U-20 World Cup winner signed a season’s deal with Great Olympics, returning to feature on the local scene for the first time in 12 years.
He admits it will be difficult to play at venues without a standard pitch.
“Let me tell you the league will be very tough. For the three games I have played, even this is Accra Sports Stadium, so you can imagine if you go to some of the venues how the situation will be. He told Radio Gold.
“The pitches are very horrible in certain aspects but this is what we have so we will be ready for the league. Horrible pitches will make the league tough”.
Agyemang Badu won his first trophy this season with Great Olympics as they beat Bechem in the final to clinch the 2022 GHALCA Top Six tournament.
The new Ghana Premier League is set to kick off on September 9.
