Rene Hiddink’s lawyer, David Winnie, has accused Hearts of Oak of dishonesty after FIFA handed the club a three-window registration ban.
The Dutch coach, who was appointed as Technical Director in July 2023 but left eight months later, lodged a complaint over $150,000 in unpaid compensation. FIFA ordered Hearts to settle the debt within 90 days, but the club failed to comply.
On Friday, the Phobians assured fans they were engaging the GFA and FIFA to resolve the matter. But Winnie dismissed that response as “absolute nonsense,” insisting the club had never acted in good faith.
“They’ve been dishonest, lying, and never acted in good faith throughout this case,” he told Akoma FM.
