Former Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have set sights on Great Olympics attacker, Francis Attuquaye Okine, Ghanasoccernet.com can reveal.
The Phobians are yet to unveil any new signings despite putting six key players on transfer but are hoping to secure the signature of the Olympics attacker ahead of the season.
Hearts of Oak will be without striker Gilbert Fiamenyo as his contract expired a few months ago and have transferred Selasie Adjei.
The only striker left with the club now is Togolese international Foovi Aguidi.
The Phobian family believe the arrival of Francis Attoquaye will increase the goal scoring prowess of the former Premier League and African champions.
The Hearts Management as well the technical team have come under tremendous criticism for transfer-listing workaholic midfielder Emmanuel Hayford, defender Kwaku Andoh, winerg Hamza Mohammed, goalkeeper Luggard Tetteh and midfielder Kofi Abanga.
The embattled capital-based club has set sights on many players with Francis Attoquaye being the latest.
“Hearts of Oak have spoken to us concerning Francis Attuquaye, but they are yet to officially table an offer him. He is a good player and we intend keeping him so that we can qualify back to the Premiership,” a source closer to Great Olympics said.
“If Hearts should meet our asking price, we will release him to them, if not they should forget getting him.”
Francis Attoquaye scored three goals goals for Great Olympic last season in the Ghana Premier League.
