Hearts of Oak are leading the race to sign Gold Stars’ forward Prince Owusu, according to the CEO of the Bibiani-based club, Akwesi Adu.

Hearts and their rivals, Asante Kotoko are understood to be interested in Owusu who has scored seven goals in the Premier League this term.

However, Gold Stars are determined to keep him until the next transfer window.

“Prince Owusu Kwabena is not moving to anywhere for now. Between employer and employee who has that power? He can only move at the end of the season,” Akwesi told Kessben fm.

“Amongst the clubs who have shown interest and leading to sign him is Hearts of Oak. Asante Kotoko is huge and every player would want to play there but the truth is that he can only leave at the end of the season,” he added.

Gold Stars have struggled in this season’s league, winning four matches and sitting 13th after the first round.

They are back in action on January 13 against Dreams FC.
