Nigeria has announced a 54-man provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The team, led by coach Eric Chelle, features a mix of experienced players and new talent.

Star forward Victor Osimhen, captain William Troost-Ekong, and midfielder Wilfred Ndidi are among the headline selections.

Other notable players in the squad include goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, defenders Zaidu Sanusi and Calvin Bassey, and midfielders Alex Iwobi and Raphael Onyedika.

The team also features several players from the Nigeria Premier Football League, including Abdulrasheed Shehu and Ekeson Okorie.

The Super Eagles will begin training camp in Egypt on December 10 and play friendly matches before the tournament kicks off on December 21.

Nigeria is in Group C, alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda.

The final 28-man squad will be announced soon, with Chelle looking to lead Nigeria to their fourth continental title.
