Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Asibey has downplayed Asante Kotoko’s recent dominance in the Super Clash, saying such phases are normal in football.
Kotoko have had the upper hand in recent meetings between the two giants, but Asibey insists the tide can quickly turn.
“Kotoko’s recent success against Hearts of Oak is something that happens in football,” he said. “Last season, Real Madrid faced a similar situation, losing all games against Barcelona.”
Asibey’s comments come ahead of another high-stakes encounter between the two sides in the President’s Cup this weekend. With bragging rights and a trophy on the line, the Phobians will be looking to flip the narrative and restore some pride.
