Hearts of Oak have moved quickly to allay fears after FIFA imposed a transfer ban on the club, stressing that the decision will not affect their current squad or new signings.
The Phobians were hit with the sanction after failing to settle an outstanding debt owed to former Technical Director René Hiddink, sparking concern among supporters about the registration of their recent recruits.
In a statement, the club clarified that all player registrations were completed before the ban took effect.
“Importantly, our current player registrations had been completed prior to the enforcement of this ban. Therefore, there will be no immediate disruption to our squad or competitive commitments,” the statement read.
Hearts further assured fans of their commitment to resolving the matter, urging unity in the face of the setback.
“We understand the concerns this may raise, and we appeal to our Phobian family to remain calm and united. The club’s leadership is fully committed to transparency, accountability, and the long-term stability of Hearts of Oak.”
