Hearts hopes dashed as talented goalkeeper Antwi extends Amidaus contract

Hearts of Oak’s hopes of signing Ghana U20 goal Eric Ofori Antwi have been dashed after the youngster signed a two-year extension with Amidaus Professionals.

The 19-year-old penned the extension this week to end the speculation over his future.

Amidaus had promised they will not sell the promising goalkeeper to their regional rivals Hearts and have lived up to their promise.

“I have decided to stay at Amidaus. I have signed a two-year contract extension as i want to stay here to continue with my development,” Antwi told GHANAsoccernet.com.

The Tema-based side have already sold two players Selassie Adjei and Emmanuel Hayford to Hearts.

Hearts coach David Duncan wanted to sign the youngster who was instrumental in Ghana winning bronze at the 2013 FIFA World Cup in Turkey.
