Hearts of Oak have officially petitioned FIFA over what they describe as an improper move by Siwelele Football Club for striker Hamza Issah.
The Ghanaian club says the South African side made contact with the player and arranged travel without their approval.
In a strongly worded statement, Hearts expressed concern over the alleged conduct.
The club said it was “alarmed by the conduct of Siwelele Football Club of South Africa, which engaged the player, issued an invitation and facilitated travel arrangements without notifying or seeking the consent of Hearts of Oak, despite the existence of an active contract.”
“This constitutes player inducement and unlawful interference with a subsisting contractual relationship, in clear violation of FIFA Regulations.”
Hearts insist Issah’s contract remains valid and binding.
The dispute follows earlier tensions in December when the player’s camp raised concerns about unpaid salaries.
Issah has netted four times in 20 league matches this season.
