Ghana Premier League icon Charles Taylor believes Mas‑Ud Didi Dramani has the pedigree to follow in the footsteps of legendary manager Cecil Jones Attuquayefio after guiding Accra Hearts of Oak to a famous derby victory over Asante Kotoko.
Dramani masterminded a 1–0 win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on February 15, 2026, ending a five-year wait for a league triumph in Kumasi. Despite being reduced to ten men for a large portion of the encounter, the Phobians showed defensive discipline and tactical control to protect their slender lead.
Speaking to Angel TV, Taylor commended the coach’s game management and urged supporters to remain patient as he continues to build the side.
“I want Didi Dramani to know that I love him and sometimes I will criticize him if the right thing is not done. But on Sunday he showed that he is a good coach, the way his team controlled the game even though they were a man down. Didi should be given the chance to work and he can be the next Attuquayefio,” he said.
Attuquayefio remains one of Hearts of Oak’s most decorated figures, having delivered four league titles, three FA Cups, a Ghana Super Cup and continental glory in 2000 and 2001; achievements that continue to set the benchmark for coaching success at the club.
