Ghana defender Gideon Mensah has described Achraf Hakimi as the most difficult opponent he’s faced in Ligue 1.
The Auxerre left-back, who has come up against the PSG and Morocco star on multiple occasions, said Hakimi’s speed, energy, and tactical mastery make him a nightmare on the pitch.
“Sometimes before a game, if Hakimi isn’t playing, I’m happy,” Mensah told Sporty FM. “You don’t know how to defend or attack him. He keeps going and going.”
He also noted that while Hakimi stands out, there are lesser-known players in the French league who are equally relentless, even if they don’t have big names.
“But Hakimi is the toughest; not because he’s the flashiest, but because he’s mastered the position,” he added.
