The weekend round of fixtures in the Spanish Segunda Division begins on the 18th of November with a meeting between Granada and Albacete Balompié.

The match will be played at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes and the hosts begin the weekend in 8th place on 22 points with the visitors just one place below them on the same number of points.

Granada come into the game on the back of a 3-2 win at Yeclano in the first round of the Copa Del Rey last weekend. Granada took a 3-0 lead in the match after 65 minutes but the hosts mounted a comeback by scoring 2 goals, although the second goal was at the end of the match.

The win at Yeclano was the first victory in 4 games for Granada. They were held to a 0-0 draw by FC Cartagena away and Levante at home and in their most recent Segunda Division fixture, Granada were defeated 1-0 at Real Oviedo.

Trends show Granada are unbeaten in their last 10 home matches in all competitions. They have won 5 of their 7 home league games this season and remain undefeated at home in the Segunda Division having drawn the other 2 matches.

Granada have been good defensively at home in recent fixtures and they have kept a clean sheet in each of their last 4 home league games.

Albacete Balompié travel to the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes having required extra time to beat Huétor Tájar away from home in the Copa Del Rey last weekend.

With the score 0-0 after 90 minutes, Albacete Balompié opened the scoring shortly before the halfway point of extra time and added 2 more goals following the interval.

That win was the first victory in 5 attempts for Albacete Balompié and they lost their most recent Segunda Division fixture, going down 3-2 at home against Levante.

However, Albacete Balompié have not been easy to beat in recent weeks and they have lost only 1 of their last 10 competitive fixtures.

Trends show Albacete Balompié have found it difficult to win recent games in the league and they have drawn 3 and lost 1 of their last 4 matches in the Segunda Division.

Interestingly, Albacete Balompié are undefeated in 19 of their last 22 away games in all competitions, including each of their last 4 league matches.

Team news and Granada have doubts over the fitness of Sergio Ruiz and André Ferreira.

Albacete Balompié are without Juanma who has a hamstring injury. Javier Jiménez and Juan Antonio Ros are both doubtful.

Given the recent defensive prowess of the hosts, we expect to see under 2.5 goals in this game. Albacete Balompié are not easy to beat and the teams could end up cancelling each other out, with the match ending level.
