GPL Preview: Dreams FC host Berekum Chelsea in mid-table battle at Tuba

Dreams FC will be aiming to get back on track when they face Berekum Chelsea at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday in a match-week 32 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

Both teams find themselves comfortably mid-table, but still eager to end the season on a high note.

Dreams FC currently sit 9th on 43 points, just two points ahead of 10th-placed Berekum Chelsea.

While the title is out of reach for both sides, finishing strong could boost morale and set the tone for next season.

The “Still Believe” lads suffered a heavy 4-1 loss to Asante Kotoko in their last outing and will be hoping to make amends in front of their home fans. The hosts have shown flashes of quality throughout the season and will look to tighten their defense and be more clinical in attack this time around.

Playing at the Tuba Astro Turf, where they are usually more comfortable, Dreams FC will fancy their chances of picking up all three points.

Berekum Chelsea, on the other hand, are also struggling for form. They’ve lost their last two matches and will see this game as an opportunity to bounce back. The visitors have been unpredictable this season, mixing strong home performances with shaky away form.

Coach Samuel Boadu will be demanding more from his players, especially in terms of focus and execution in key moments.

When the two sides met earlier this season in Berekum, the game ended in a draw, and there’s every chance this one could be just as close. Both teams are evenly matched, and it might come down to who wants it more on the day.

Team News

No major injuries or suspensions have been reported for either team. Both managers should have full squads available for selection.

Kickoff Time: 3:00 PM GMT
