Bankroller of King Faisal Football club, Alhaji Karim Grusah has made a passionate appeal to the Government to desolve the Ghana Football Association following the Black Stars’ disappointing performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations
Ghana got eliminated from the ongoing tournament in Ivory Coast after failing to win a game.
Grusah, who is known for his outspoken views, expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of Ghanaian football and the leadership of the GFA.
“We have seen countries like Namibia and others win at least a game in the AFCON this year, and Ghana couldn’t. The best way this GFA can cover up the mess they have made of the national team is to always sack coaches”.
“The president, Nana Addo, and the Ministry of Sports must stamp their authority and dissolve the current leadership of the FA,” Grusah insisted, accusing the association of devolving into a “friends and family business.” he told Happy FM.
Black Stars will return to action in March for the FIFA international break and are expected to play World Champions, Argentina in a friendly in China.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday announced the sacking of the former Premier League manager Chris Hughton and the entire technical team following the group stage exit at the continental event.
