Bibiani GoldStars say they are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to find a new head coach following the departure of Stephen Frimpong Manso.

The Premier League champions parted ways with Manso after their 2-0 defeat to Algeria’s JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League, a result that ended his tenure in charge.

A proposed move for former Asante Kotoko boss Maxwell Konadu also collapsed after both parties failed to reach an agreement, forcing the Miners to widen their search.

Speaking to Citi Sports, the club’s Public Relations Officer Samuel Kwagyire revealed that management is focused on appointing a coach who aligns with the club’s long-term ambitions.

“We need a coach who has the same future business plan with the team so that we can move forward.

“As defending champions, at least we need to do our best and make sure that we either defend the title or secure a good position within the season.”

GoldStars recorded a 3-1 win over Heart of Lions last weekend ahead of their upcoming league tie against Berekum Chelsea on October 23.

The victory lifted them to 7th place on the Ghana Premier League table with 9 points, but the club insists stability on the technical bench remains their top priority.
