Bibiani Gold Stars are setting their sights on reaching the group stage of the CAF Champions League as they gear up for their debut campaign on the continental stage.
Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, club CEO Kwesi Adu outlined the team’s ambitions, stressing that the preliminary rounds are just the beginning of a bigger journey.
“Looking at the structure of the CAF competition, it starts with the preliminary rounds, then moves to the group stage, and afterwards the quarterfinals and semifinals. For us, the most important target is to qualify for the group stage,” he said.
Adu emphasized that Gold Stars aren’t in the competition just to participate but to compete, win matches, and progress. “That’s where clubs begin to gain real experience and prepare themselves for the tougher challenges ahead,” he added.
Reaching the group stage would be a landmark achievement for the club, and preparations are already underway to ensure the team is ready for the challenge.
