Bibiani Gold Stars deepened the relegation troubles of Eleven Wonders with a thrilling 3-2 away victory at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The hosts made a bright start, taking the lead just seven minutes in through Eden Kofi Asamoah, who capitalised on early pressure to put Eleven Wonders ahead.

Gold Stars responded swiftly. Bright Boakye levelled matters in the 18th minute before Samuel Atta Kumi completed the turnaround five minutes later, firing the defending champions into a 2-1 lead.

Eleven Wonders refused to fold and restored parity through William Danquah in the 33rd minute, ensuring the sides went into the break locked at 2-2 after an entertaining first half.

The decisive moment arrived shortly after the restart when Emmanuel Agyei struck in the 59th minute, giving Gold Stars the lead for the second time and ultimately sealing all three points for Frimpong Manso’s side.

The victory lifts the Miners into second place on the Ghana Premier League table, just two points behind leaders Medeama SC.

Despite a spirited display, Eleven Wonders remain rooted to the bottom of the standings.

Gold Stars will next travel to face Bechem United, while Eleven Wonders host Basake Holy Stars in their upcoming fixtures.
