Goal scoring Heart of Lions’ main problem – Defender Patrick Mensah

Heart of Lions defender Patrick Wilson Mensah believes goal scoring has been the team’s main problem this season.

He said this after their 1-0 defeat to Legon Cities on Monday in match week 16 of the Ghana Premier League at the WAFA Park.

Speaking to saharafootball.com, Mensah described Heart of Lions’ goal scoring problems as huge.

“This season, goal scoring has been our major problem, we create more but can’t score which is a huge problem for the playing body and technical team, hopefully that changes soon.”

Despite the win, the Royals still sit 8th on the league table with 21 points while Heart of Lions are still winless and are bottom of the league with 8 points.

Just 15 minutes into the game, William Kwaku Adjei banged in the only goal of the clash to deliver victory for the hosts.

New manager Bahir Hayford could not inspire his side to get an equaliser in the second half, with the game ending 1-0 in Sogakope.
