Former Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has called on Ghana Football Association to give retired footballers the opportunity to help develop football in the country.
The former Juventus man’s comments come after Black Stars abysmal performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations currently ongoing in Ivory Coast.
Ghana suffered a knockout exit after picking up just two points from three games to finish bottom of Group B.
“I think we should give more chance to the retired footballers, i always say you might have a degree about so many things but the things the footballer will know on the pitch outside the pitch because he has been through he has learnt it he has that experience,” he told Peace FM.
After the awful turn of events at Ivory Coast the Ghana FA sacked Coach Chris Hughton and desolve the technical team of the Black Stars.
