Executive Council Member Gideon Fosu has been appointed to serve as Chairman of the Black Princesses Committee. He replaces Linford Asamoah Boadu who chaired the Committee for three years and lead Ghana to another FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica in 2022.
Gideon Fosu is the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Division One League Kings Palace FC and also heads the Centralized Operations Unit (payment) of Ghana Commercial Bank.
He is expected to bring his expertise on board in ensuring that Ghana qualifies for the next FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
Western Regional Football Association Chairman Simon Ehomah will serve as Vice Chairman of the Committee.
Their immediate assignment is the final round qualifiers in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup against Senegal.
The 1st leg fixture will take place at Stad Lat Dior in Thies, Senegal on Saturday, January 13, while the 2nd leg is scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
