Mohammed Salisu who joined AS Monaco from Southampton during the summer, has reappeared in first-team training.
Since his transfer, the Ghanaian defender had been absent from Monaco’s matches, due to not being in peak physical condition upon arrival because of a niggling groin injury.
The 24-year-old centre-back had to undergo surgery for his persistent groin pain in mid-September.
Now, it appears that Salisu is making progress toward a return to the field. In a recent open training session, he was seen participating alongside his teammates.
Salisu’s debut is eagerly anticipated, as Monaco has been dealing with a string of injuries in their defense, including players like Guillermo Maripán and Soungoutou Magassa working on their recovery.
