Hearts of Oak defeated Medeama 3-1 in midweek fixture to end their four-game winless run in the Ghana Premier League.
Goalkeeper Appiah Kubi scored an own goal in the 6th minute to give Hearts the lead before Hamza Issah produced a fine strike to double the lead.
Godknows Dzakpasu brought hope to Medeama after making it 2-1 just four minutes after Hamza’s goal.
But the Hearts midfielder netted his second in the 34th minute and put the tie beyond the reach of the visitors.
The 21-year-old forward has now scored thre goals in two matches for the Phobians this term.
Medeama SC was sent off receiving his second yellow card for a foul.
It iis the first time Martin Koopman’s side have scored more than a goal this season.
The win moves Hearts to the 13th position with the hope of further improving it against Karela in their upcoming fixture.
Medeama’s stuttering start to the season leaves in 10th and face Legon Cities next.
