Kwaku Karikari netted his first goal in Serbian top-flight football but could not prevent FK Zeleznicar Pancevo from slipping to a 3-1 defeat against OFK Beograd on Saturday.
The 23-year-old forward, on loan from AC Horsens in Denmark, struck in the 31st minute to draw his side level after Jay Enem had given Beograd the lead.
It was a composed finish from the Ghanaian, arriving at the back post to convert Aleksa Kuljanin’s pass.
Zeleznicar’s hopes of a comeback were dashed after the break.
Enem bagged his second shortly after the restart before Nikola Knezevic wrapped up the points with a stoppage-time penalty.
Karikari, who has featured five times this season, now has a goal and an assist to his name as he continues to settle in Serbia. Fellow Ghanaian Abdul Razak Yussif also completed the game in defence for Zeleznicar.
