Ghana’s failure to qualify for 2026 World Cup will be tough on Ghanaians – Kweku Ayiah

Former GFA Executive Council member Kweku Ayiah believes it will be difficult for Ghanaians if the Black Stars fail to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

His comment comes after Ghana’s disappointing performance in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, where the team managed just three points from six matches.

The Black Stars are currently second in Group I with nine points and will face Chad and Madagascar in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in March.

“If the problem has been identified at AFCON then I wish them the best in the world cup qualifies,” he told Asempa FM.

“It will be hard on Ghanaians if Black Stars do not qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”.

Ghana will host Chad on March 17 before traveling to Madagascar for their final group game on March 24.
