Ghana’s Black Stars remain 73rd in the world and 12th in Africa in the latest FIFA rankings.
This follows their performances in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where they beat the Central African Republic 5-0 and Comoros 1-0 to book their place at next summer’s tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Black Stars did not partake at the 2025 Afcon after failing to qualify for the competition.
Morocco continues to lead the continental rankings, followed by Senegal and Nigeria.
Head coach Otto Addo previously expressed optimism about further progress as Ghana prepares for upcoming international friendlies and the 2026 World Cup.
