Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Daara has called for calm and patience amid Ghana’s precarious 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification prospects.
The four times African champions are yet to pick a single win from four games played and they currently sit third in Group F with two points from possible 12
Following the uninspiring outing, Ghana now face an uphill battle to secure qualification to the competition set to be staged in Morocco next year.
Daara, speaking on Asempa FM attributes Ghana’s struggles to a rebuilding process.
“It is not that we don’t have quality players. It’s just a few players who are playing for top teams.
“We are in a rebuilding phase so I will plead with Ghanaians to be patient.
“If we lay the foundation well, we will get back to the top. I’m very confident about that,” he added
The Black Stars lock horns with Angola on Friday, November 15, in Luanda before wrapping up the qualifiers at home against Niger three days later.
