English-born Ghanaian teenager, Josh-Kofi Acheampong, has officially signed his maiden professional contract with Premier League powerhouse Chelsea Football Club.
The emerging talent, who recently represented England at the U-17 level, committed to the club until the summer of 2026, marking a significant milestone in his football journey.
A statement from Chelsea emphasized Acheampong’s progression through the youth ranks since joining as an Under-8.
The versatile defender, a regular presence for the Under-18s and appearances with the Under-21s, has showcased his potential within the Chelsea academy.
Turning 17 in May, Acheampong was part of the England Under-17 squad at the European Championships and the World Cup, highlighting his international experience at the youth level.
