English-born defender of Ghanaian descent Jordi Osei-Tutu is in a race to return from injury for the third time this month.
The Arsenal loanee has struggled to play 90 minutes this month, but he hasn’t missed a game for Rotherham United in April.
Osei-Tutu was seen on crutches after Rotherham’s game against Portsmouth on April 12th, but he returned the following weekend to play almost the entire game against Ipswich.
Following that, the 23-year-old could only play 33 minutes in his next start against Burton Albion, but he bounced back four days later to play a full 90 minutes.
His most recent appearance was against Sunderland, where he came off with 13 minutes remaining.
He now has a race against time to be fit for Rotherham United’s crucial final regular-season game on Saturday.
Rotherham United travel to Gillingham Town, who are in danger of relegation, knowing that a win will guarantee promotion to the Championship.
Osei Tutu’s most memorable moment with Rotherham came at Wembley, when he scored a crucial goal to help the club win the EFL Trophy.
However, there’s still a chance he’ll be back on the same turf next month.
