Black Stars midfielder Lawrence Agyekum was on target for Cercle Brugge in their 2-2 draw with Kortrijk in the Belgium Jupiler PRO League relegation play-off.
Kortrijk’s Bram Lagae scored in the 14th minute, giving the hosts an early lead.
However, Lagae was sent off with a straight red card in the 33rd minute, reducing Kortrijk to ten men.
In the second half, Cercle Brugge dominated the game. Lawrence Agyekum scored in the 54th minute, levelling the score.
Later, Agyekum assisted Thibo Somers in scoring the go-ahead goal in the 80th minute.
Agyekum was substituted out for Abu Francis in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, Francis received a red card just three minutes later.
In the 90th minute, Kortrijk’s Abdelhak Kadri scored, levelling the score and securing a draw.
The match marked Agyekum’s first goal and assist of the season, coming after 34 appearances in the ongoing Belgium Jupiler PRO League season.
