Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in talks to sign two players from Asec Mimosas

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have reportedly opened talks to sign two players from Ivorian giants, Asec Mimosas.

The Porcupine Warriors are in the market searching for quality players to bolster their squad ahead of the 2024/25 football season after failing to glitter this time.

Kotoko have been unimpressive so far this season, dropping from fourth position on the Ghana Premier League table to the 9th after 23 matches and also suffering elimination from the FA Cup competition.

In a bid to make a meaningful impact next season, Kotoko have engaged some players over a possible move in the next transfer window.

According to Kumasi-based Kessben FM Monitored by Footballghana.com, the Ghanaian giants are in talks to sign two solid players from Asec Mimosas to strengthen their team.

The two-time Africa champions spotted the duo during the President Cup tie between Kotoko and Asec Mimosas back in March, where the Porcupine Warriors succumbed to a 2-1 defeat in the game.

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is said to be impressed with the duo and have already engaged Asec Mimosas for the services of the players ahead of next season.

The Ghana Premier League went on break at the weekend due to the FA Cup quarterfinals games.

But the League is set to return this weekend and Kotoko will be hoping for a season turnaround after suffering four straight defeats in the league.
