Ghana’s Black Stars have moved up one spot to 76th in the global rankings following a winning start to the 2025 calendar.
The upward movement is a direct result of their victories over Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers during the last international break.
These wins marked Ghana’s first successes since their triumph over the Central African Republic in June.
As a result, Ghana has surpassed Israel, who dropped two places in the rankings.
While the Black Stars’ global ranking has improved, their continental standing remains unchanged, with the team sitting 14th in Africa.
Coach Otto Addo will aim to build on this momentum and further improve the team’s ranking when they resume action in September.
