Ghana’s Mohammed Salisu and Kamaldeen Sulemana excelled in Southampton stalemate with Tottenham Hotspurs at St Mary’s Stadium.
Southampton and Spurs played out a 3-3 drawn game in a English Premier League encounter on Saturday.
Pedro Porro broke the deadlock with a thunderbolt strike into the roof of the net to power Spurs into the lead for the first half.
Che Adams levelled 47 seconds into the second half, but 15 minutes later, Harry Kane’s header and Ivan Perisic’s strike put the visitors in a comfortable lead.
Sekou Mara planted a header into the net ignited belief of a fightback.
James Ward-Prowse scored a penalty in injury time to secure a point for Southampton.
Salisu was introduced in the 8th minute after Armel Bella-Kotchap picked up an injury while Sulemana replaced Mohammed Elyounousi on the 70th minutes mark.
The duo have been included in Chris Hughton’s 25-man squad for this month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Angola.
