Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila still at Sundowns, money delays Belgian move

Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Rashid Sumaila, is still at Chloorkop following a failed negotiation with an interested European club, over a transfer fee for his proposed overseas move.

The Ghanaian defender had an unnamed Belgium club enquiring about his services during the transfer window in August.

The 21-year-old is now stuck at Sundowns without playing competitive football this season, after the Tshwane club decided against registering him for the 2014/15 season.

As things stand, Sumaila might have to wait for the next transfer window in January to get a chance of securing a move away from Sundowns.
