West Ham United record-signing Andre Ayew insists he will ‘be ready’ to regain a starting role at the club after returning to full fitness.
The 26-year-old has made two substitutes appearance since he recovered from a serious thigh injury suffered in August.
The Ghana international had a run-in against Chelsea in the EFL Cup as well as the side’s 2-0 defeat at Everton in the Premier League last week.
And the Ghana vice-captain says he will be ready to make his second start of the season.
“The injury feels good and I am working hard. Things are going well and hopefully I can continue like this,” he told the club’s website
“It is up to the manager when I am ready to start a game but the most important thing is that we continue to work hard and try and win games. When the gaffer needs me I will be ready.”
Ayew suffered an injury just 30 minutes into his debut at Chelsea in August this year.
