Midfielder Emmanuel Owusu Boakye scored a tap-in goal to earn Samatex a point after 1-1 draw against Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League.
The Royals fought hard after forcing the Timbers to score an own goal from Isaac Afful through Frederick Akatuk kick.
Boakye came to rescue the Timbers in the injury at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
The draw keeps FC Samartex at the top with 46 points after 25 games and will host Berekum Chelsea at the Nsenkyire Arena on Sunday.
The Royals are 13th with 32 points and have an outstanding match.
