Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, says he is working to elevate the team to its optimal level following their 2-0 defeat to Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League.

Coach Ouattara, who was appointed midway through the season, had an impressive start, remaining undefeated in his first five games.

However, he has now lost three matches on the bounce.

“I think this team, we can do it. Not for the league, but we are trying to build,” he said.

“I am not there to make a new foundation. I’m trying to bring this team at a portable level with the materials I have.”

Hearts of Oak are 10th on the league table with 32 points, 13 behind leaders Samartex after 25 games into the season.

The Phobians will next take on Karela United in their next league game.
