Asante Kotoko continued their winning streak with a 2-1 victory over relegation-threatened Dreams FC at the Tuba AstroTurf in Accra on Saturday.
The win marked the Porcupine Warriors’ second consecutive victory, following their morale-boosting 1-0 win over arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash.
Kotoko took the lead in the 40th minute through Yahaya Baba’s goal.
Three minutes later, Saaka Dauda scored to make it 2-0 for the visitors, ending the first half.
From the break, Joseph Esso pulled one back for Dreams FC in the 56th minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome.
After the win Asante Kotoko are 5th on the table with 24 points while Dreams FC are on 17th position with 12 points.
Kotoko’s next game is against Bibiani Gold Stars while Dreams face Berekum Chelsea.
