Ghanaian midfielder Vincent Klu-Adjei has joined FC Basel U21 from Berekum Chelsea, completing a move to Switzerland on 21 August 2026.
The 18-year-old will play for Basel’s Under-21 side in the Promotion League after leaving Berekum Chelsea, who compete in Ghana’s Premier League. The transfer moves Klu-Adjei from domestic football in Ghana to the Swiss third tier.
Klu-Adjei has played in midfield and made 66 Premier League appearances during his time in Ghana, scoring three goals. His record also includes 3,248 minutes on the pitch, with his goals coming at an average of one every 1,083 minutes.
He joined Berekum Chelsea in September 2024 after leaving the club’s reserve side, B. Chelsea II. The move to FC Basel U21 is his second club transfer since beginning that spell in the Berekum Chelsea setup.
Klu-Adjei was born in Ghana on 22 May 2008 and is listed as an 18-year-old midfielder. His market value is recorded at €50,000, although no transfer fee has been disclosed for his move to Basel.
FC Basel U21 compete in the Promotion League, Switzerland’s third level, providing the next setting for Klu-Adjei after his appearances in Ghana’s top flight. His previous league experience includes 66 outings for Berekum Chelsea, where he scored three times.
The transfer was completed on 21 August, with Klu-Adjei now registered as a player for FC Basel 1893’s Under-21 team. He has therefore moved from Berekum Chelsea to FC Basel U21.
