Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah played his first competitive match at home on Thursday in the 3-1 win over Mozambique in Accra in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Torino star was making his 19th appearance for the four-time African Champions since debuting in 2012.
He entered as a substitute in the friendly international against Chile and has since been key player of the team.
Acquah was pivotal in Ghana’s silver medal winning feat at the last edition of the Nations Cup finals in Equatorial Guinea.
He missed one of the kicks in the thrilling penalty shoot-outs defeat to Ivory Coast.
