Ghana left-back David Addy was shown a straight red card just after the half hour when he crazily headbutted an opponent in front of the referee. There was no excuse for Addy’s assault, and he made matters worse for himself when he tried to attack his victim after he was given his marching orders. His side Waasland-Beveren were beaten 2-0 at the KV Mechelen in the Belgian Jupiler League on Saturday.

Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah watched the entire game from the bench as his Juventus side posted a comfortable 3-0 win over Atalanta in the Italian Serie A on Saturday night.

Juventus boss Maximilliano Allegri preferred ex-French international Patrice Evra to the Ghana star as he limited him to warming bench.

Asamoah’s benching is an obvious plan by Allegri to rest him for Juventus’ Uefa Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

While Asamoah was watching from the bench, striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was playing the entire duration of the game against his parent club.
