Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi chaired the first meeting of the new CAF Media Committee in the absence of substantive chairman Anjorin Mouscharaf who is still wallowing in prison.
The GFA capo who is the Vice President of the Committee had to sit in for his boss who is still in jail in his native Benin on bribery and corruption charges.
Nyantakyi beat Mouscharaf on his way to being elected onto the powerful Executive Committee of CAF over two years ago.
But the Benin FA boss who is one of the trusted confidantes of CAF President Issa Hayatou was compensated with an appointment to serve as the chairman of the Media Committee.
He was however unable to chair the first meeting of the committee as he continues to serve his time in jail.
Issues discussed at the first media committee are yet to be made public as decisions and recommendations done by sub CAF Committees need to be vetted by the Executive Committee before being announced.
