The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has told all 48 Division One League clubs that they must submit their applications for the 2026/27 Club Licensing process by Sunday, 9 August 2026.
Each participating club is required to complete its application and upload all mandatory supporting documents through the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) before the deadline.
The GFA Club Licensing Department has made clear that the deadline will not be extended. Clubs have been urged to give the process the highest priority and ensure their submissions are completed within the specified period.
Failure to provide a complete application by the closing date could lead to sanctions under the GFA Club Licensing Regulations. One possible consequence is that a club could be declared ineligible to take part in the 2026/27 Division One League season.
The licensing requirements apply to all 48 clubs involved in the competition. Applications must be submitted through CLOP, with every required document included for the submission to be considered complete.
The Club Licensing Department will continue to track the progress of applications as clubs work towards the deadline. It will also provide support where necessary to help clubs complete the process.
However, clubs have been strongly advised not to wait until the final stages before submitting their applications. Completing the process early would give the department time to review and assess the information provided, while reducing the risk of technical or administrative problems close to the deadline.
The GFA said clubs should therefore make immediate progress on their applications and ensure that all outstanding documents are uploaded before Sunday, 9 August.
Any club that misses the deadline or fails to submit the required information in full will face the measures set out in the GFA Club Licensing Regulations. Those measures may include exclusion from the 2026/27 Division One League season.
The licensing process is intended to confirm that participating clubs have met the relevant requirements before the new campaign begins. The GFA Club Licensing Department’s reminder places responsibility on each club to submit its materials correctly and on time.
There will be no extension beyond the stated deadline, according to the department.
