Group CEO of Databank Kojo Addae Mensah has stated emphatically that the Black Stars are not primed to win the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
His statement comes in the wake of the national team’s uninspiring performances under coach Chris Hughton.
Ghana is drawn in group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
“Ghana can not win the AFCON, we don’t have the qualities to lift the trophy in Ivory Coast,” He told Happy FM.
“Miracles do work in football but not this time around for the Black Stars.
“If you compare the squad from 2006 up to 2010, none of the current team members come close, not even Partey.”
The forthcoming competition is scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
